Watch The Crazies as a toxin begins to turn the residents of Ogden Marsh, Iowa into violent psychopaths, sheriff David Dutton (Olyphant) tries to make sense of the situation while he, his wife (Mitchell), and two other unaffected townspeople band together in a fight for survival.

To its credit, there is plenty of action, and the action sequences play into the drama. There’s some random violence, but most of the conflicts build character development and push the characters even further into terror and desperation. The Crazies also avoids superhuman stunts. There’s no MacGuyver or Keanu Reaves type in the film who knows exactly what to do and makes the film too campy to be scary.

All in all, The Crazies is a solid film that really did give me a nightmare. I’ll give it a respectable but not classic 3.5 out of 5.

Cop Out

Watch Cop Out – Two longtime NYPD partners on the trail of a stolen, rare, mint-condition baseball card find themselves up against a merciless, memorabilia-obsessed gangster. Jimmy the veteran detective whose missing collectible is his only hope to pay for his daughter’s upcoming wedding, and Paul is his “partner-against-crime” whose preoccupation with his wife’s alleged infidelity makes it hard for him to keep his eye on the ball.

One of Cop Out’s biggest charms is that it feels like a buddy cop comedy you’ve seen before, but have forgotten how much you enjoy it. The film feels similar to a 48 Hrs or Beverly Hills Cop film. Bulletproof is also a good example. Cop Out is pretty much what you expect when it comes to roles Bruce Willis chooses as it’s pretty much no different than his role as John McClane on the surface, but he’s a lot funnier this time around.

Watch Cop Out As far as Tracy Morgan goes, the funniest thing I could remember him saying was his one line in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (”Man… I don’t know what the fuck you just said, Little Kid, but you’re special man, you reached out, and you touched a brother’s heart.”) until this film. He was downright hilarious at times. The only person who was funnier than Morgan was Seann William Scott who stole every scene he was in. Even though Kevin Smith didn’t pen the script this time around, it still feels like a Kevin Smith film. It could be due to the fact that Jason Lee has a small role in the film, but I like to think it’s because Cop Out offers the same kind of comedy you’d find in a Kevin Smith film with a bit more action. It also took me forever to place Scarface from Half Baked as Poh Boy.

The Good Guy

Ambitious young Manhattanite and urban conservationist Beth (Bledel) wants it all: a good job, good friends, and a good guy to share the city with. Of course that last one is often the trickiest of all. Beth falls hard for Tommy (Porter), a sexy, young Wall Street hot-shot. But just as everything seems to be falling into place, complications arise in the form of Tommy’s sensitive and handsome co-worker Daniel (Greenberg). Beth soon learns that the game of love in the big city is a lot like Wall Street — high risk, high reward and everybody has an angle.

Watch Shutter Island for Martin Scorsese. He is adapting this film from a critically successful and well written book by Dennis Lehane. The book has met commercial success as well as it has been well received by the New York Times sellers list. What would be interesting is how this story shapes up on Steven Knight writing and Martin Scorsese’s direction. American film director, writer, producer and Oscar winner Martin Scorsese has earlier made many ground breaking and path baking films in Hollywood. In Shutter Island he is attempting yet another feat with thriller.

Watch Shutter Island to know how an U.S. Marshal (teddy Daniels) and his partner ( Chuck Aule) sets out to Ashecliffe Hospital to investigate an absconder but falls in prey to the remorse of nature and people around them. The movie is set on the 1950s era. The Hospital is meant for the criminally insane and an infamous murderess Rachel Solando is on loose. The movie already has too many factors to anticipate for it release. Association of Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio makes it much more interesting.
